Comenius Project Meeting

"Water: the liquid of life"

Milan 8th – 12th May 2004

The final project meeting about the Comenius project "Water: the liquid of life" has been held in our school from 8th to 12th May 2004.

All the partner schools with their contact teachers came to visit us, showing the work done during this school year by their students: field works, essays, posters, collages, drawings, drama representations, poems,…..everything was based on "water".

The British, Spanish, Finnish colleagues enjoyed the visit together with the Italian ones, proud of showing them our school, our students, our staff and the city we live in.

During the meeting, two drama representations have been acted by our students: "No water, no life" by the students of the class 1F and "Motu Iti", by the ones of the class 1E.

The first one is the story of a king, who asked his three daughters about the most precious thing in the world. When one of them answered him that it was water, he became so angry and decided to throw her in the open sea. A young prince rescued the princess and convinced him by a trick that water is the most important thing in the world and so…."No water, no life"!

No water, no life!"

Motu Iti

"Motu Iti" comes from a short story by Roberto Piumini. It tries to explain the origin of the big statues on Easter Island.
Tou Ema is the good chief of the village. He was banished from his village with violence, but the seagulls took revenge for this and his young girl friend believed in his innocence, helping him to come back on the island.

The class 3^ C has a great project: an italian lesson for our foreign guest!
