Welcome to the European Comenius school project   

Project Content :

By blending sport with culture and education , the project sets out to develop physical, moral, intellectual, cultural and artistic qualities harmoniously ("mens sana in corpore sano").

Through Olympism we intend to involve all the members of the school staff in order to promote a "way of life" based on :

Respect for universal ethics including tolerance, generosity, unity, friendship, non-discrimination and respect for others

The balanced development of the body, will and mind

The joy found in effort

Activities and work done
 

Production and realization of "CalendOlimpia 2004" (http://www.bdp.it/socrates), a calendar related to the Olympic Games giving relevance to the least practiced and advertised sports as well as to the Paralympics , with texts, artworks, and poems made by the students. Each month has an illustration along with the text written in Italian and English related to the Olympic game(s) chosen by the students, the web site links, curiosities and famous quotations.

P.S. Motivation is very high when students are preparing something using the internet as well as when they see and realize that their work has been appreciated. In this way we encourage and enable students to strengthen their learner autonomy.

Archery Training Day:
a chance to learn and appreciate a challenging sport.

Under the supervision of a fully qualified trainer our students experienced and enjoyed Archery lessons.

The trainer gave them some information about this sport and some advice on how to hold the bow and shoot (Ready, Aim, Fire).
